Hello, and welcome to our practice! Orthodontics is not just my job, it's also my passion. I always strive to help others, and my career lets me serve my community while getting to know my patients one by one! I am committed to providing excellent care for my patients in a friendly environment. I know that each person has different needs and values, and I design each treatment therapy to meet your desires.

I am originally a native of Allen Park, Michigan, a downriver Detroit community. For my education, I attended The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor for both my undergraduate and dental school studies. In 1980, I received my Doctorate of Dental Surgery, and was elected to Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Honorary Dental Society. I was then appointed to the faculty of the University of Michigan Dental School as a clinical instructor while also practicing general dentistry in the Ann Arbor area. I was accepted into the postgraduate program in orthodontics at the University of Detroit-Mercy and received my specialty degree in 1983.

My passion for orthodontics keeps my education ongoing as I attend numerous continuing education courses yearly. This allows me to continue to deliver the latest and most advanced techniques in the evolving field of orthodontics. I am currently a member of The American Association of Orthodontists, the Michigan Association of Orthodontists, The American Dental Association, the Michigan Dental Association, and the Kalamazoo Valley District Dental Society.

My wife, Kathleen, and I have two wonderful children, Brent and Kimberly. We enjoy horses and the great outdoors at our Schoolcraft residence. I love cycling, and ride many miles to raise money for the Make-a Wish-Foundation. The group I ride with, Team Taylor, has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for Make-a Wish-Foundation. I also enjoy spending time on the slopes!
